THE DESIGNER
Janina Maria, the founder, namesake and creative mind behind JAN&INA Trachten, studied at the international fashion school ESMOD – one of the most renowned design academies worldwide.
Her talent and creativity were further honed through training at the Augsburg Art Faculty and various drawing schools for illustration, painting, and design. The trained designer and pattern maker gained many years of experience in the international textile and fashion industry – including at well-known brands such as MARC O'POLO, Sportalm, and Hallhuber.
There she worked as a designer, stylist and art director in various creative agencies.
Her great passion is combining tradition, folklore, and traditional costumes with current trends. She realized this vision in 2011 with the founding of JAN&INA Trachten in Munich – today a trendy designer traditional costume label with a unique style, known and loved in Germany, Austria, and internationally.
