Janina Maria, the founder, namesake and creative mind behind JAN&INA Trachten, studied at the international fashion school ESMOD, one of the most renowned design academies in the world. Her talent and skills were further enhanced at the Augsburg Art Faculty and at drawing schools for illustration, painting and design. The trained designer and pattern maker has worked in the international textile and fashion industry for various well-known brands such as MARC O'POLO, Sportalm and Hallhuber as well as various design and creative agencies as a designer/stylist and art director. With her great passion for combining and reinterpreting tradition, folklore and traditional costumes with current fashion trends, she founded the now popular designer traditional costume label JAN&INA Trachten in Munich in 2011. The label is known and loved in Germany, Austria and internationally for its unique and unmistakable style of traditional costume.

There she worked as a designer, stylist and art director in various creative agencies.
Her great passion is combining tradition, folklore, and traditional costumes with current trends. She realized this vision in 2011 with the founding of JAN&INA Trachten in Munich – today a trendy designer traditional costume label with a unique style, known and loved in Germany, Austria, and internationally.
